Formed from the eternal crystals of the Abyssal Caverns, Xylar is a Nexum—a being with the unique ability to channel and manipulate the mental waves of their world. While the Nocturnians lived in harmony with their crystals, Umbra Expanse arrived to corrupt them, altering their essence into weapons of mind control.

Xylar, leader of a secret resistance, fought relentlessly against Umbra’s expansion on Nocturnia. However, their connection to the crystals revealed that the corruption was not an isolated phenomenon. Determined to confront the larger threat, Xylar left Nocturnia in search of allies who shared their cause.

The Encounter with the Horizon Alliance

Xylar’s journey led them to the Whispering Market on Arenis, a hidden sanctuary beneath the sands of a hostile world. There, Xylar encountered other warriors also fighting the consequences of Umbra Expanse.

Tharun Dustwalker, a nomad of Arenis, initially met Xylar with distrust. However, upon witnessing Xylar restore fragments of corrupted crystals, Tharun quickly recognized their noble intentions.

Sylvarion, born of Florania’s Eternal Roots, observed Xylar with curiosity, intrigued by the Nocturnian’s unique connection to the living energies of their homeworld.

During their time at the market, Xylar heard whispers of others in the Horizon Alliance. Names like:

Kael’thar, a strategist from desolate worlds known for his calculated mind and practical solutions.
